The breadth of our public interest litigation practice is unique for a private firm, and that diverse practice is reflected in the summer associate experience. Summer associates have work assignments similar to those of associates at the firm, and can expect to work on a variety of matters for international and local unions, workers, environmental groups, governmental entities, and other clients, involving such areas as labor, civil rights, First Amendment, environmental, election, and immigration law. The summer experience at our firm is excellent training for a judicial clerkship and career as a litigator, and indeed, our summer associates regularly go on to outstanding clerkships following graduation.
Requirements Include: Our summer program is limited to 2Ls, as well as 3Ls who have secured post-graduation fall clerkships.
